By the Numbers: More Model-less Production

Approximately 43% of dental laboratories in an IDT survey said their growth goals this year included model-less production. Of course, dentists play a part. While only 27% of general practitioners in an Inside Dentistry survey said they had intraoral scanners, that number was 44% for those practicing for 11 to 15 years, indicating perhaps that as younger dentists establish themselves financially and clinically, they are more apt to invest in the technology.
