Aspen Dental has announced that Dr. Mithila Sharma has been appointed director of clinical and prosthodontic support. According to the company, Sharma will now oversee clinical guidance and support for implant and prosthodontic services in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan.
Sharma began her career with Aspen Dental in 2013 as a lead dentist in Danville, Illinois. She later joined the practice ownership program and became a multi-practice owner. Over her tenure, the company reports she has treated thousands of patients across the greater Chicago area and mentored dozens of clinicians and support staff.
According to Aspen Dental, Sharma has also contributed to clinical innovation, piloting technologies such as 3D printing and digital implant systems. She is identified among the top 20 implant providers within the Aspen network and has developed expertise in the use of surgical guides.
Her new role includes support of Aspen Dental’s implant business segment, offering clinical guidance from diagnosis to the delivery of implant therapy. The company states that she will collaborate with providers across her assigned regions to advance the delivery of care and support clinical consistency.
“Dr. Mithila Sharma has been an invaluable member of our team since she joined the organization. It's been inspiring to see her practices grow and thrive, and I know she'll apply that same level of entrepreneurism and enthusiasm to her expanded leadership role,” said Dr. Arwinder Judge, chief clinical officer at Aspen Dental. “As she steps into this new position, I'm confident her clinical expertise, mentorship, and passion for elevating care will further strengthen Aspen Dental's leadership in implantology and comprehensive dentistry.”
Sharma earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California, San Francisco. In addition to her clinical and leadership responsibilities, she has participated in Aspen Dental’s Healthy Mouth Movement outreach programs and serves as a senior faculty advisor at the TAG Oral Care Center for Excellence in Chicago. There, she works with Dr. Sundeep Rawal, senior vice president of implant support services, and Dr. Nassif Youssef, director of implant prosthetics and educational support, to educate clinicians nationwide on implant dentistry.
Sharma also holds a board position with a national organization focused on clear aligner treatment.
