Weave, a software platform used by small and medium-sized healthcare businesses for customer communication and payments, has announced an integration with Ortho2, a provider of practice management software for orthodontists in the United States and Canada.
The integration is designed to support users of Ortho2’s Edge Cloud platform by offering several new features:
Automated Data Sync – Patient contact and appointment information will now automatically update daily from the Edge Cloud database.
VoIP Phone System with Call Pop – Incoming calls will display patient information, including upcoming appointments, to help personalize conversations. Features such as rollover lines, on-hold messaging, call forwarding, and interactive voice response (IVR) are also included.
Missed-Call Texts – Practices can follow up automatically via text with patients who call but do not leave a voicemail.
Two-Way Texting – Patients can communicate with providers by text, which may help reduce no-shows and improve treatment adherence.
Save the Date and Appointment Reminders – Automated messages are sent after appointments are scheduled, helping patients add the visit to their calendars. Follow-up reminders can be sent as the appointment date approaches.
Recall Reminders – Practices can automatically text patients to remind them about follow-up visits.
Reviews Auto-texting – Automated texts can be configured and scheduled to request feedback from patients after their appointments.
The goal of the integration is to help orthodontic practices streamline routine communication and operational tasks.
