Dentsply Sirona has announced the availability of an updated version of its SureSmile software, designed to simplify orthodontic workflows and improve usability for clinicians and staff. The company said the enhanced experience focuses on improving navigation, communication, and efficiency in daily practice operations.
The updated software includes an enhanced patient overview that allows users to view patient status and history at a glance, along with key details intended to improve visibility. Additional updates are designed to simplify tasks and reduce back-and-forth steps in workflows, as well as improve communication with the SureSmile Digital Lab through a revised interface. The platform also enables clinicians and staff to upload patient photos directly from mobile devices and order refinements without requiring new photos within 180 days of the original order, as appropriate.
According to the company, these updates are intended to address increasing patient volumes and more complex digital workflows in orthodontic practices, where software usability can affect clinical efficiency. The enhancements are part of a broader effort to support connected digital workflows through DS Core, a platform designed to integrate data access, communication, and case visibility across devices and throughout the treatment process.

Dentsply Sirona stated that the updated software includes clearer instructions, standardized terminology, and improved patient overview features, which are intended to reduce complexity and support clinical decision-making.
